    Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital has been recognized by Healthgrades as one of America’s 100 Best hospitals for cardiac interventional care. Healthgrades, the leading online resource helping consumers make informed decisions in order to find the right doctor, the right hospital and the right care, evaluated nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide for 33 of the most common inpatient procedures and conditions and identified the 100 best performing hospitals within each procedure. This ranks Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital among the top 5% in the nation. From 2011-2013, patients treated for Heart Attack in hospitals with 5-stars for in-hospital mortality, have, on average a 49.0% lower risk of dying than if they were treated in hospitals with 1-star for in-hospital mortality. Similarly, patients treated for heart attack in hospitals with 1-star for in-hospital mortality are, on average, 2.0 times more likely to die than if they were treated in hospitals with 5-stars for in-hospital mortality. A 5-star rating indicates that Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital’s clinical outcomes are better than expected when treating the condition or conducting the procedure being evaluated.

    The Heart Center offers comprehensive surgical options, including open-heart bypass, valve repair, and pacemaker installation, in the only hybrid operating suite designed and built exclusively for cardiovascular surgery and coronary interventional procedures. Experienced heart surgeons and interventional cardiologists, along with specially trained cardiac nurses and technicians are available 24 hours a day.

    Our new Our new Catheterization Laboratories provide patients and their physicians with state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment procedures. The lab’s dedicated check-in system assures patients easy and convenient appointments for such procedures as:

    • Coronary Angiography and Intervention
    • Vascular Intervention

    Electrophysiology Lab

    The Heart Center’s electrophysiology lab incorporates the most current technology available in Sonoma County. An electrophysiologist treats problems that cause the heart to beat too slowly, too fast, or irregularly. Specialized equipment helps the electrophysiologist diagnose and treat the heart’s electrical system.

    Prevention and Rehabilitation

    Heart disease, in many cases, is preventable. Even after disease has developed, it can be highly responsive to behavioral changes, often allowing patients to return to life activities that may have been denied to them for many years. The Heart Center provides comprehensive prevention and rehabilitation programs.
