Volunteering
The lives of our patients, employees, and physicians are immeasurably enhanced by the selfless contribution of our volunteers. Volunteers at Sutter Medical Center may choose to join our Auxiliary, or to become student or junior volunteers.
Auxiliary Volunteers
The Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa Auxiliary was started in 1967. Since that time it has grown into a compassionate volunteer organization providing services for the patients and staff. Through gift shop and fundraising activities the Auxiliary has raised funds for the purchase of equipment which greatly assists our hospital to provide valuable patient care services to our community. For more information about the Auxiliary please call (707) 576-4006.
Student and Junior Volunteers
Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa is proud to partner with many local educational institutions to offer job shadow and technical volunteer experiences, (i.e. Nursing and Radiology). For more information call the Volunteer Info Line, (707) 576-4006.
Pet Therapy Volunteers
Creating Wellness is a canine program consisting of volunteers and their dogs that are trained to work as a team, bringing comfort and love to patients, in a hospital setting. For program information, call (707) 576-4006 or visit the Pet Therapy website.
