Current Funding Priorities
What speaks to your heart
Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa relies on the generosity and support of the community to achieve high standards of excellence in patient care and education. Private contributions strengthen our funding resources allowing us to provide groundbreaking programs, services, and technologies to our patients.
Every gift —no matter how large or small— makes an enormous difference in the lives of those we serve. If you are not already part of the Sutter family of supporters, we invite you to join us.
Our current funding priorities are in support of Women's and Children's Health Services and are comprised of:
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- Breast Care Services for Uninsured Women
- Nurse Navigator Program
- Integrative Health and Healing Program
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Funding Need: $95,000
The compassionate and highly skilled team of physicians and nurses in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa works every day to save the lives of our tiniest patients and to restore hope to countless families in Sonoma County. The NICU cares for all but the sickest babies in our community - in fact, of the 217 babies cared for in 2009, only 4 required a transfer to San Francisco for highly specialized care. The ability to provide this level of care to a family fighting for the life of a critically ill newborn, close to home, close to family and friends is priceless. We are currently seeking funding to upgrade equipment to help us continue to safely transport sick babies from outlying hospitals to receive their care at Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa.
