Construction Update - February 2012
February 6
- Hospital construction proceeds with structural steel erection on the west wing of the hospital. Depending on the weather, the project team is gearing up to begin the footings on the east wing.
- Utility work on Mark West Springs Road is still waiting on AT&T to remove their poles, but work on the new, main entrance intersection signals and a new bus stop on the north side of the road have begun.
- On site permit road work at the main entry drive continues and will be completed this spring.
February 22
- Hospital construction continues with structural steel erection on the west wing of the hospital. Excavation for the foundations of the east wing is going well.
- Utility work on Mark West Springs Road is still waiting on AT&T to remove their poles. Work on the new main entrance intersection signals and the new bus stop on the north side of the road continues.
- On site permit road work at the main entry drive continues and will be completed this spring.
Beginning structural steel erection is a big milestone for the project. Now it’s hard to miss the activity as you drive by on Hwy 101.
Foundation excavation and reinforcement on the east wing of the hospital is underway.
