Advanced Medicine for Sonoma County:
State of the Art Technology Compliments Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa Leading Edge Patient Care
When Sutter Health opens its new Medical Center in Santa Rosa, it will have every right to claim “Leading Edge Medical Center” to compliment its award winning Five Star Patient Care. Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa is one of the nation’s top rated hospitals for patient care; the new hospital will be equipped with the most advanced healthcare technology available, including Electronic Monitoring of ICU patients, Electronic Health Records, Wireless Telemetry and a nursing communications system keeping patients connected with their care professionals.
Advanced cabling design, like the nervous system, provides the communications backbone for patient care data to travel the entire medical center instantaneously. A fiber backbone will feed Cisco Network Switches transferring millions of bytes of data per second to over a million feet of copper Category 6A shielded cable throughout the facility. This mission critical data network is fully redundant from the core to the extremities. Each single point of failure is met with redundancy to keep patient information at the care givers finger tips. Patient data is kept secure and private through rigorous employee training and awareness as well as secured systems with checks and balances continuously monitoring for potential risks and threats.
The Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa has a world class Imaging Center designed with the most advanced technology available to imaging experts within the Sutter Health Network who support the patient care team with best available diagnosis and treatment options. Medical images routinely exceed gigabytes of data made available where needed throughout the Sutter System then stored and filed for instant access.
State of the Art Wireless Systems support a wide range of Radio Frequency users including our Public Safety professionals (police and fire), Cellular Phone Users (like ATT, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile and more), WiFi, Medical Telemetry, Asset Tracking, Infant tracking and alerts with goal of connecting our patients, care givers and visitors to the facility. The advanced design of these wireless systems will actually reduce the strength and exposure of safe radio waves within the facility.
Five Star Pharmaceutical professionals will be supported by the most advanced drug inventory and distribution systems that stresses patient safety where the system requires and documents each drug applied to the right patient for the right dose, at the right time by the right healthcare professional.
Patients and Visitors will be treated to an informative patient education and entertainment system while at the new hospital. Patient’s physiological health may be continuously monitored as they advance through the on-site rehabilitation process on a Wireless Medical Telemetry Network covering the whole facility. Recovering patients will be encouraged to accelerate their recovery through a professionally supervised rehabilitation team while being monitored for increased safety during their stay.
Nursing communications systems use Voice over IP (VOIP) as another technology innovation to continue to connect patients with the care team with the goal of an excellent patient experience.
The expansive Operating Rooms are planned and designed with the newest and most advanced technology available to provide the gifted surgery staff high definition video images needed to operate to their full capabilities and potential.
Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa new hospital technology and systems are architected, integrated and delivered at the appropriate level, where the healthcare experience is enhanced for care givers, their patients and their families.
