Servery and Dining Area

Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa will offer the convenience of a cafeteria with the ambiance and sophistication of a restaurant. The kitchen, servery and dining area in the new hospital are designed to create a unique experience for patients, staff and visitors while offering a wide variety of menu items in a casual yet elegant atmosphere. The servery will have a marketplace of choices, for dining in or taking a quick break. The hot food, salad, bread and soup, and grab-and-go selections will be freshly prepared from natural ingredients.

The interior material palette of the dining and servery area is natural and muted to complement the vibrant, colorful foods offered. Surfaces are durable, clean and refined. Tile floors in stone colors and wall finishes in a spectrum of subdued hues provide a backdrop for the beautiful view in the dining area. Floor-to-ceiling windows open the second floor space to a view of the Mayacamas Mountains, which inspired the undulating, russet canopy at the main entrance of the hospital. Sunlight warms and illuminates the space, inviting a respite into a busy day. The sepia toned mural which spans the back wall of the dining room is an aerial view of the winding Russian River and the surrounding vineyards that captures the serene rural subject in a modern space.

Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa is committed to the community and to sustainability. The refuse from the kitchen will be composted, and recycling receptacles are built into the dining area. To reduce waste from water bottles, a spout dispensing fresh drinking water will be available. Seating in the dining area is comfortable, attractive, and inviting, and the available free Wi-Fi will keep you connected. Vending machines will be available for after-hours snacks.
